In this phase we work with your marketing personnel to implement the results of our keyword research by integrating the keywords and phrases into your marketing copy. This phase works later help search engines match search terms to relevant information found on your website.

In the search optimized copy writing phase we carefully monitor the density of keywords and phrases used in your marketing copy to give the content a natural look and feel, unlike some sites that too frequently repeat keywords and phrases. Overloading keywords can actually have an adverse effect on a site’s search engine rankings.

Graphic Design and Animation

To keep a prospect reading your site a site should appear professional and should contain relevant and focused images. At MarkIT, we work to balance graphics to provide the site’s users with quick page load times and cross platform usability. When sites load too slowly due to excessive flash animation or graphics they often lose visitors and, in some cases, get skipped by search engines.

Website Design Code Development

This is the phase where we actually code the site. At MarkIT we follow W3C standards to ensure website usability across multiple platforms. Additionally, when we code the site to industry standards it also helps search engines read the site therefore helping a site appear in search engine results. Some sites if coded poorly can be skipped entirely by search engines.

Website Marketing and Promotion

Once the site is live on the Internet we do everything but let it sit. This is where most of our work begins. At MarkIT, we fell closely monitoring a website, how it is found, and how it is indexed by search engines to be the most important stage in developing your online business presence. Basic Rules for SEO Web Design

If copy appears in graphics instead of text search engines cannot read it, therefore it cannot match to search queries. When possible keep all copy as text and out of images.
Use text based links when possible. The text in the link should contain relevant keywords.
Use valid HTML, and cascaded style sheets in place of tables, so multiple browsers can display the page properly.
Keep the page layout simple and consistent.
Content should be keyword rich and relevant. The more relevant the content to the search query the better chance it has to place well in search results.
Avoid doorway pages. Designers used to use doorway pages to redirect web surfers and search engines, now many crawlers will stop indexing a site when they see doorway pages in use.
Do not try to hide keywords in background text.
Do not try to hide keywords in small text.
Do not overuse keywords nor should they be repeated excessively. Pages that are overly keyword rich can be penalized in search engine results.
Meta Tags are often no longer used for keywords. They should only give a basic description of what the page is about. Do not use more than 3 to 4 keywords, and make the keywords relevant.
Use keyword rich titles that describe the page content. Title tags are also what web searchers first see in search engine results.
Use keyword rich headings that describe the paragraph content. Make sure these keywords also appear in the text of the paragraph.
